Duties
- Perform a variety of massage therapies including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments tailored to each client’s needs
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual health conditions, pain points, and treatment goals
- Educate clients on massage benefits, post-treatment care, and self-care techniques to support ongoing wellness
- Maintain treatment records and document client progress in compliance with health regulations
- Ensure a safe and hygienic environment by adhering to sanitation standards and using proper medical terminology during consultations
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their concerns, explain treatment plans, and adjust techniques accordingly
- Stay current with industry trends and expand your expertise in areas such as physiologic knowledge, pain management experiences
Skills
- Strong patient service orientation with excellent client communication skills
- Proficiency in various massage techniques including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and sports massage
- Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to massage
- Ability to perform patient assessments accurately to develop personalized treatment plans
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to musculoskeletal health and pain management
- Valid licensure as a Massage Therapist in accordance with state or regional regulations
