Associate Teacher - Cosmetology

LOCATION OF POSITION: Fairport NY 14450; Eastern Monroe Career Center

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 10 Month Position, Full Time

STARTING DATE: September 2026

SALARY RATE: $32,600-$51,021per school year (or higher depending on BUP negotiations)

Duties

• Assist the teacher in providing instruction and supervision for high school students preparing for careers in Cosmetology.
• Assist teacher in maintaining student records, such as discipline, attendance, and grades.
• Assist teacher with practical operations by supervising students and managing practical activities.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development activities.
• Other duties as determined by the classroom teacher or building administrator.
  
  

Qualifications

• A current NYS Cosmetology license is required.
• Three or more years of industry experience in Cosmetology.
• Must have valid NYS Teaching Assistant certification or willingness to complete.
• Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
