Essential Functions:
Learning & Development Strategy
Develop and execute a scalable learning and development strategy aligned with company growth, profitability, and customer experience goals.
Build and maintain training programs for technicians, store managers and operations management teams.
Standardize development and training programs across all locations to ensure consistent delivery of operational excellence and brand standards.
Establish KPIs and measure program effectiveness (e.g., productivity, customer satisfaction, retention, leadership readiness).
Oversee training content and delivery for all corporate teammates, with a focus on on-boarding and compliance.
Learning Systems
- Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) and develop effective delivery strategies for store teammates.
- Develop blended learning solutions including in‑person, virtual, e‑learning, and hands‑on training
- Leverage technology to identify opportunities and meet those opportunities through effectively delivered learning and development content
Technical & Operational Development
Oversee development and delivery of technical training programs (diagnostics, repair procedures, safety, compliance).- Ensure consistency in service standards, SOPs, and best practices across all locations.
- Partner with OEMs, vendors, and certification bodies to maintain up-to-date technical content.
Conduct site visits and audits to assess training needs and operational execution.
- Collaborate with regional and district managers to address performance gaps through learning and development.
Leadership Development & Talent Growth
- Design and implement leadership development programs for store managers, district managers, and high‑potential teammates.
- Create and maintain succession planning and career‑pathing programs to strengthen organizational bench strength.
- Support onboarding programs for new teammates.
Compliance and Safety
- Oversee training requirements and content delivery related to legal and safety compliance.
- Maintain audit‑ready documentation and ensure compliance with all regulatory training requirements (e.g., labor laws, OSHA, EPA, state and federal regulations).
- Promote teammate well‑being and development through learning modules.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Education, Organizational Development, or related field (preferred).7–10 years of leadership experience in training, operations, or leadership within multi-unit retail/service environment
Proven experience utilizing technology to execute scalable development strategies across large retail organizations.
Demonstrated success managing development programs across multiple locations.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong understanding of instructional design, adult learning principles, and leadership development methodologies.
- Expertise in designing and implementing technology‑backed, scalable development strategies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and coaching skills.
- Ability to analyze performance data and translate insights into development initiatives.
- Experience with LMS platforms and digital learning tools, with proven success leveraging technology-based solutions to effectively reach a large population of employees.
- Strong knowledge of automotive service operations and technical training needs (preferred).
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, and fax machines. Position requires incumbent to see, read, hear, speak, reach, bend, sit/stand for prolonged periods of time at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
