Position: Recreation Manager
Location: Monongalia County Parks and Recreation
Schedule: Full-time
Pay: $15.00/hour

Position Overview:
The Recreation Manager will assist in the planning, coordination, and implementation of recreational programs, community events, and facility operations across Monongalia County’s park system. Including managing the Summer Music Series, Camp Muffly Park Swimming Pool in the summer and the Chestnut Ridge Park tubing hill in the winter. This role is ideal for someone who is creative, organized, community-minded, and ready to take on a leadership role in public recreation.
Duties Include:
- Managing the Camp Muffly Park Swimming Pool and the Chestnut Ridge Park tubing hill.
- Organizing and managing recreational programs and events
- Overseeing activities
- Assisting with marketing and promotion of programs
- Supervising part-time and seasonal staff
- Engaging with the public and community groups
- Supporting daily operations and facilities
Qualifications:
- High school diploma (degree in recreation or related field preferred)
- Management experience
- Reliable and on time
- Willingness to work outside in all conditions
- Previous experience in recreation, parks, or community programming a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends
- Valid driver’s license
