What are the responsibilities and job description for the Client Advisor (CFP®) position at Monon Wealth Management?
Monon Wealth Management is a boutique Registered Investment Advisor serving entrepreneurs, business owners, and successful families with a net worth between $5 million and $50 million. With approximately $400 million in assets under management, we deliver comprehensive wealth management through a Virtual Family Office model — integrating investment management, tax strategy, estate planning, and insurance coordination. We believe most investing is commoditized. Our true value lies in helping clients make better financial decisions, gain confidence, and simplify their financial lives.
We're looking for a seasoned, client-facing CFP® who thrives in relationship management and comprehensive planning. You'll inherit and manage an existing base of Monon Wealth clients — handling ongoing meetings, communication, and plan execution. You'll collaborate closely with our Managing Partner on strategy, but you'll own the client relationship day to day.
This is not a sales role, yet growth is expected and rewarded. You'll be compensated for expanding client relationships, attracting new business (both your own and firm-sourced), and contributing to overall revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary relationship manager for 30–40 delegated client relationships.
- Lead client meetings, present financial plans, and implement recommendations.
- Manage all follow-up and proactive communication with your client group.
- Coordinate planning and implementation with service, investment, and operations teams.
- Identify opportunities for additional assets and deeper engagement with clients.
- Collaborate with firm leadership on strategies for business development and client experience.
- Support Monon Wealth’s high standards for process excellence, technology adoption, and client education.
Compensation & Growth:
- Competitive base salary based on experience and book responsibility.
- Performance bonus tied to growth of client assets and revenue.
- New client acquisition (self-sourced or firm-sourced).
- Contribution to team and firm initiatives.
- Clear path to increased responsibility and income (equity partnership not part of this role).
- Opportunity to work closely with an established leadership team and high-caliber clientele.
Qualifications:
- CFP® certification required (or near completion).
- 7–12 years of experience in financial planning, private banking, or wealth management.
- Proven ability to lead client meetings and maintain strong relationships with HNW families.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Tech-forward and process-oriented mindset.
- Desire to grow both personally and professionally in a collaborative, high-expectation environment.
- Experience in an RIA, private bank, or insurance-based wealth management environment welcome.
