What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control Lead 1st position at MONOGRAM MANAGEMENT SERVICES INC?
Position Overview: Ensure all inventory movements and transactions are made properly and on time by working with Inventory Control Clerks, Warehouse Supervisors, and Warehouse Associates. Trains and develops support staff on system processes and scan gun uses. Validates 3PL inventory against D365 inventory on a weekly basis to ensure accuracy between systems. Validates Production consumption quantities as requested daily working with Gatekeepers. Responsible for all cycle count activities and ensures daily/weekly cycle counts are processed on time and accurately between all shifts and all storage locations. Responsible for assisting and executing yearly physical inventories at production plants and 3PLs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs all work in a safe manner; remains constantly aware of continuous improvement for safety-related opportunities.

Oversee activities of other Inventory Control personnel on all shifts.

Cross trains all employees in all functions for greater efficiency.

Ensure all warehouse floor operations are performed timely and accurately.

Resolve administrative problems and inquiries with the proper parties in a timely manner.

Work with the Warehouse Manager, Material Control Manager, and Inventory Control Leads to maintain an accurate inventory.

Research paperwork/system errors to better train staff.

Handle requests for information and data using the office employees.

Facilitates department training with the management team.

Work with all Departmental needs i.e., translations, orientations, walk-throughs, create binders for T&D, work with Excel and PowerPoint to create presentations, and assist with HR administrative functions.

Validates department for compliance with established policies and objectives of the company and contributions in attaining objectives.

Assists in developing and carrying out department goals, objectives, and systems.

Assists in reviewing and maintaining crewing levels and optimizing to meet or surpass Monogram cost targets.

Suggest ways to control labor and supply costs as well as improve processes.

Prepare written responses to routine inquiries.

Prepare agendas for meetings and prepare schedules.

Other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Preferred Education: Associate or bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. OSHA-approved forklift certification is also preferred.
- Preferred Experience: Two or more years of experience of working in both shipping and receiving in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to establish trust and credibility with employees.

- Sound technical skills, logical ability, and strong problem analysis and resolution skills with a strong operational focus.
- Ability to demonstrate discretion and business ethics.
- Ability to communicate with management and customers.

- Computer Skills: Proficient in general PC usage, including Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and handheld scanning devices preferred.

- Preferably Bilingual but not required.
