What are the responsibilities and job description for the Generalist, Human Resources position at MONOGRAM MANAGEMENT SERVICES INC?
This position reports to the Human Resources Manager and is expected to follow direction, support departmental goals, and operate as a collaborative member of the HR team. The role requires regular attendance at meetings, accountability for assigned responsibilities, adherence to performance expectations, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and company information. This position is an in the office position on site at the plants.
- Support Talent Acquisition efforts by developing and maintaining a strong pipeline of qualified candidates.
- Communicate company policies, benefits, programs, and procedures effectively to applicants, candidates, and team members.
- Coordinate and execute all aspects of the hourly recruiting and pre-employment process, including interviewing, reference and background checks, drug screenings, and plant tours.
- Collaborate with the HR Manager, to review engagement, and retention strategies.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze turnover trends to identify opportunities for improving employee retention and engagement.
- Support the onboarding process for exempt employees by coordinating interviews.
- Maintain accurate employee records related to separations, ensuring timely documentation, reporting, and completion of exit interview processes.
- Prepare reports and provide insights related to recruiting, onboarding, and retention metrics to support business objectives.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by HRM in support of Human Resources and plant operations.
- Assist with exit interviews for all team members; track and analyze turnover data to identify trends.
- Support onboarding for new exempt employees, including interview coordination
- Maintain accurate tracking of terminations and ensure exit interviews are completed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Process I-9 and compliance
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Human Resources or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant Hourly Recruiting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant HR Generalist experience in a manufacturing environment
- Food (USDA) manufacturing industry experience is preferred
- Knowledge of relevant employment laws
- Understanding of labor relations
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time in front of a computer
- Walk on the production floor in and out of cooler temperatures
- Use phone, Teams, Microsoft Suit and more
