Position Overview:
The Warehouse Crane Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of automated warehouse crane systems used to store, retrieve, and transport finished goods within Monogram Foods Bristol's high-rise freezer warehouse. This role requires strict adherence to all safety, food safety, quality, and operational procedures while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting warehouse productivity objectives.
The Warehouse Crane Operator must demonstrate a strong commitment to Monogram Foods' safety culture by following crane operating procedures, maintaining communication with warehouse personnel, and exercising Stop Work Authority whenever unsafe conditions exist.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Safely operate warehouse crane systems to transport pallets vertically and horizontally within designated racking locations.
Retrieve, store, and relocate finished goods according to inventory management procedures.
Utilize RF scanners, warehouse management systems, radios, and operational worksheets as required.
Conduct pre-operational equipment inspections at the beginning of each shift and report deficiencies immediately.
Verify operational readiness of sensors, lighting systems, emergency stop devices, and safety equipment.
Maintain accurate inventory transactions and documentation.
Communicate effectively with forklift operators, warehouse personnel, and supervisors regarding crane movements and storage locations.
Follow all crane-zone communication requirements when entering, exiting, or suspending crane operations.
Stop operations immediately when unsafe conditions, damaged pallets, blocked bays, or other hazards are identified.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, crane cabs, and warehouse locations.
Assist with warehouse activities as assigned by leadership.
Support continuous improvement, food safety, GMP, and quality initiatives.
Perform additional duties assigned by management.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Previous warehouse, distribution, material handling, or crane/forklift experience preferred.
Ability to learn warehouse management systems and RF scanning technology.
Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety.
Ability to work flexible schedules, overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
