Job Overview:
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Chief Engineer to join our team at Monmouth Medical Center. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our main boiler room, heat recovery boiler room, air compressors, and HVAC systems.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in the operation and maintenance of main boiler room, heat recovery boiler room, air compressors, and HVAC systems and equipment
- Schedule shifts and oversee daily operation of high pressure steam generating plant and auxiliary equipment
- Responsible for weekly reports identifying fuel oil and natural gas consumption, water, BTUs produced, make-up water generated, chiller plant, and other key performance indicators
- Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, laws, and regulations
- Familiar with BMS and fire alarm system monitoring and operation
- Capable of working independently to troubleshoot and maintain equipment
- Knowledgeable of steam supply and distribution
- Responsible to perform emergency repair and coordinate with outside contractors as needed
