Join our heavy construction team as a Laborer where your expertise in heavy equipment operation and marine construction will drive efficiency and safety for a new project we're starting at the Gardner's Basin in Atlantic City. Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as cranes, skid steers, excavators and dump trucks and move materials efficiently and safely.
- Able to safely use various hand tools such as circular saws, drills, chainsaws, etc.
- Ability to read architectural plans and interact with engineers and on-site inspectors.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely, adhering to OSHA standards and mechanical knowledge requirements to prevent injuries.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team of other employees
- Maintain detailed records of project tasks, safety checks, and equipment maintenance logs.
Skills
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of marine structures such as docks, piers, bulkheads, and seawalls.
- Operate heavy machinery including excavator, skid steer, large pick up trucks, trailers, boats and barges to move materials and prepare sites.
- Conduct utility locating to ensure safe excavation around underground utilities in marine environments.
- Use hand tools and power tools for various construction tasks while adhering to safety protocols.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of materials such as concrete, steel, timber, and debris.
- Follow all safety procedures in accordance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and site-specific safety protocols
- Assist with site cleanup, equipment maintenance, and preparation for daily operations.
Pay: $65.00 - $90.00 per hour
Experience:
- Mason/Laborer: 5 years (Required)
