Full-Time Landscape Architect for the Design and Development Department of the Monmouth County Park System, Lincroft, New Jersey.
Under the direction of a Chief Landscape Architect and a Principal Landscape Architect, the Landscape Architect will be responsible for design and development of site analyses, concept designs, design programs, site plans, cost estimates, grading plans, dimension plans, planting plans, construction details and technical specifications for site improvement projects, and other related duties as required. Strong organizational skills, communication skills, writing skills, and a good knowledge of plant material native to the northeast region are essential.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in landscape architecture, plus two (2) years minimum of related experience in landscape design or working directly under the supervision of a licensed landscape architect.
Proficiency with Autodesk AutoCAD software, version 15 or later, and Microsoft Word.
Professional Landscape Architect license issued by the New Jersey State Board of Architects.
Driver’s license.

It is comprised of open space, forests, gardens, wetland/marine habitats, historic sites, recreation areas and conservation properties. The Park System, established in 1960, operates with a full time staff of 350 people, providing facilities, programs, and services of the highest quality year round, to the County’s more than 600,000 residents.
The Monmouth County Park System was the first Park and Recreation agency in the nation to receive accreditation from the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA) in 1994, and is one of only 89 such agencies in the nation to have done so, and the only agency in New Jersey.
