What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Manager/Lube Technician position at Monkey Garage?
Love working around cars? Grease Monkey Garage needs an experienced, full time assistant manager or lead lube tech. 3 years shop automotive experience required including at least 2 years in team leadership. Base pay $17.50 to $19.50 DOE, plus earned bonuses. Retirement plan available. Please email application through Indeed.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
· Working with manager to operate lube side of busy automotive shop.
· Know and be able to do and explain all services performed on lube side of shop.
· Can organize a shop and do all lube tech positions – lower, upper, CSA, courtesy.
· Excellent customer service and communication.
· Be a positive example as a leader for other team members.
· Count inventory, cash out customers, have excellent communication skills.
· Provide clear and detailed direction to the lube team.
· Keep service center clean, safe, and presentable.
· Keep self and all lube techs busy with company work.
· Open and close shop – training provided.
· Active participation in daily team goals to maintain excellent customer service.
· Ability to help guests with their questions and needs in-person, electronically, or via the telephone.
Other Qualifications
· Must have very good communication skills.
· Have a helpful attitude as well as professional conduct and appearance.
· Must be able to stand on your feet on hard surfaces like concrete or metal.
· Able to work in Phoenix year-round, including in hot temperatures and around loud noises.
· Knowledge of electronic quote building tools such as AllData is a plus.
· Must be able to lift and move work-related items up to 50 pounds.
· Must be at least 18 years of age.
· Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
