What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Cook position at Monkey Bar & Grille?
Alligator Reef Club in downtown Melbourne is looking for a take charge well rounded experienced cook with the ability to handle managerial duties associated with the position. We are located at 529 E New Haven Ave. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual and reliable. Able to lead and motivate staff with a highly positive attitude. Enjoys the art of cooking, presentation, creating specials. We have a small kitchen staff and being able to multi task and maintain quality, supervising each plate before it leaves the kichen. Hours are typically 11 am through 10 pm.
Responsibilities
- Food orders
- Inventory and prepare daily Prep list
- Communication with Owners on a daily basis
- Manage Staff and enforce rules and handle all issues quickly
- Hold weekly meetings with kitchen staff
- Manager prep to assure consistency & quality
- Organization and cleanliness of kitchen
Qualifications
- Must have strong cooking and management experience
