Who You Are / Your Next Challenge

In today’s market, there is a multitude of challenges that businesses face when looking to fulfil their banknote requirements, especially as major banks look to scale back on non-core products. At Moneycorp, banknote supply (Financial Institution Group “FIG”) is one of our core solutions. Such access supports Moneycorp’s global ambitions in supporting frictionless commerce through the development of a more competitive supply chain with the highest levels of compliance. We understand the importance of a service provider that has reliability and longevity, with a specialist, dedicated team at our customer’s disposal.


To ensure this level of service is continued we have an exciting opportunity for a Payments Operations Executive - FIG, to join our Payments Operations – FIG team at Moneycorp on a full-time / permanent contract, based in our Coventry Office, West Midlands. Reporting directly to the Payment Operations Managers - FIG, the main purpose of this role is to ensure:

  • All payment transactions are processed accurately, compliantly and within deadline.
  • All bank accounts, transactions and systems are reconciled daily.
  • Compliance with the funding and defunding of the Federal Reserve Bank Account (FRBNY).
  • Exceptional service is delivered to the FIG team in sales, dealing and logistics.


The overall team size will be up to 5 people in the UK and another 2 people based in Hong Kong. The tasks will support our payments operations across the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) and its clients across the EMEA, LATAM and APAC regions. You will have exposure to a variety of stakeholders across the business including members from the Sales, Dealing, Finance and the wider Payments Operations teams and the role will provide the opportunity to learn about all areas of payments within a global FinTech payments business.


This is an entry level role, therefore we are keen to meet applicants who have an interest in learning payments, settlements and/or reconciliations or have previous operational experience with banking and reconciliation activities, have sharp attention to detail and takes pride in ensure processes and procedure are followed consistently at a high standard.


What we’re looking for / Skills that will help you in the role 

  • Interest in moving into a role processing payments in global currencies and performing bank account reconciliations.
  • Prior operational experience is advantageous, ideally acquired in a deadline orientated and busy payment operations environment supporting a demanding business
  • Proficient at establishing credibility quickly and building relationships with a range of stakeholders at varying levels of seniority
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Energetic and focused to deliver exceptional service to the business supported
  • Learning mind-set and willingness to develop key skills and competencies
  • Excellent analytical skills, with ability to think independently and draw conclusions.
  • Solution-focused approach and the ability to make objective/ evidence based decisions and influence recommendations and decisions using insights.
  • Good organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Resilient to change, adapting to and supporting new situations with confidence.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, maintaining high accuracy, in a fast paced environment
  • Proactive and willing to take on new challenges
  • Collaborator and team player
  • Knowledge and experience of payment platforms, SWIFT, reconciliations, investigations and query management is advantageous


This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to take on a key fundamental role within the Payments Operations – FIG function, who is keen to get involved in multiple projects within an established growing international organisation, and provides amazing scope for both strategic and operational self-development.


Please note: This is a full-time, permanent position, with the job expected to be office-based in Coventry as part of the Payments Operations - FIG team. However, we have an agile flexible working policy which enables you to work up to 2 days from home if desired.
