What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Capital Business Partner – Global Hedge Fund – $250-350k TC position at Mondrian Alpha?
Our client, an industry-leading, multi-strategy global hedge fund, is looking to hire the firm's first New York-based Human Capital Business Partner.
This is a newly created position, reporting directly to the Chief HR Officer, representing a unique opportunity to become the first US-based member of the global HR team in a highly autonomous and visible role.
The successful hire will take ownership of delivering the firm's people strategy whilst acting as the operational engine behind the execution of HR initiatives across the full employee lifecycle for the New York office. The role combines true business partnering responsibilities, working closely with business leaders on talent development and workforce planning, with ownership of governance and HR compliance frameworks, ensuring that people strategy remains aligned with the firm's growth objectives. The hire will also play an influential role in shaping future HR strategy through close partnership with the CHRO, whilst driving cross-regional initiatives spanning onboarding, talent acquisition, performance management, and AI- and automation-focused projects.
Ideal candidates will have approximately 4-8 years' HR Business Partner experience, ideally gained within financial services, although there is flexibility for exceptional candidates from other sectors. Above all, the successful individual will be comfortable operating autonomously and have the capability to step into a broader, more senior decision-making role within 6-18 months.
This is a business-critical hire, offering a first-year total compensation package of up to $350k. The firm also offers market-leading employee benefits that compare very favourably with other New York-based hedge funds.
Salary : $250,000 - $350,000
