My client, a leading hedge fund, is seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to join their Cloud & Platforms team in New York.
As part of this newly formed engineering function, you'll play a key role in designing, building, and operationalizing a modern cloud infrastructure platform that supports business-critical applications at scale. Working across a multi-cloud environment with a strong focus on automation and AI enablement, you will help drive infrastructure modernization, developer velocity, and platform maturity while partnering closely with development teams and business stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have 8 years of hands-on experience in platform or infrastructure engineering roles, with a proven track record of moving seamlessly between architectural design and implementation work. You should have extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred), and cloud platforms such as Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP. A software engineering background or deep understanding of how developers interact with infrastructure is essential.
You will have demonstrated expertise in automation, cloud-native principles, and building self-service infrastructure platforms. Experience with containerization technologies, Python or .NET development, AI integration patterns, and enabling developer productivity at scale would be highly advantageous. Given the collaborative nature of the role, you will work directly with development teams, business stakeholders, and DevOps partners to understand infrastructure requirements, make informed technology recommendations, create scalable solutions, and train teams on new tooling and platforms.
