What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President position at Monday Talent?
Vice President role available with a reputable PR agency where this person will lead creative strategy, manage a small team and oversee media relations for a range of clients including, but not limited to the beauty, technology, retail and wellness spaces. The work this team produces drives major culturally focused campaigns and is a mix of quick newsjacking moments as well as fully integrated, strategic programming.
As a team lead, the VP will drive the client relationship and oversee strategy while leading junior staff to deliver.
Note: This role is hybrid, two days a week in office
Responsibilities:
- You’ll act as a strategic lead directing high-level media strategy, brand messaging, narrative storytelling development, when and how to roll out news as well as identifying and mitigating risks, etc.
- Develop a strong relationship with brand stakeholders and manage key communications with high level client contacts.
- Support and guide the team including junior staff to reach their goals and challenge the team to create enticing, timely and creative pitches.
- Craft PR strategies aligned to marketing and business objectives.
- This position identifies relevant trending conversations, spots potentially viral moments, and maps out brand campaigns. You’ll have the opportunity to see your craziest ideas come to life.
- Executing work with a strong attention to detail and always applying learnings to future assignments while ensuring KPIs are thoughtfully set and then exceeded.
- In support of the EVP, you will manage several financial aspects including profitability, staffing, planning, and budgeting at a high level.
- You will oversee day-to-day work as well as the long-term professional development of 3-5 direct reports
Qualifications:
- You have around 10-13 years of directly relevant experience
- You have showcased strong client management skills including the ability to build and troubleshoot with the client to ensure all ideas are newsworthy and pressworthy
- You keep your finger on the pulse of how the media landscape is changing and are excited to proactively adapt your approach in real-time to stay ahead of the curve
- You have experience working on all aspects of press beyond media relations including awards programs, evergreen product pitching, product launches, mailers, events, etc
- You’ve demonstrated the ability to develop strong press relationships and have successfully taught this skill to junior staff
- You have vision, thinking through where your clients live in the world and what key messages and story devices help support that house
- You’ve showcased excellence in partnering with multiple agency partners across various marketing channels to develop integrated brand campaigns
Comp - $145k-$175k inclusive of base bonus
Salary : $140,000 - $175,000
