Role Description
The role of Firefighter/Driver is an on-site position, working a 48/96 shift schedule (48 hours on-duty, followed by 96 hours off-duty). The Firefighter/Driver will perform fire suppression, emergency medical services, and rescue operations as part of a dedicated team. The role includes driving and maintaining fire apparatus and response vehicles, conducting pre-incident surveys, participating in training exercises, and engaging in public safety education initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- NC Firefighter
- NC EMT
- NC EVD
- NC Driver's License (Class B - preferred)
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
- NC Driver/Operator Pumps and Aerials
- NC Rescue Technician
