Position Summary
Taylor Northwest is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Specialist / Construction Estimator to support both environmental compliance and civil estimating efforts. This is a full-time role that blends office and field work with occasional travel. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in environmental compliance and sustainability practices, paired with the ability to support estimating and preconstruction planning with accuracy and attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in environmental compliance and sustainability practices, paired with the ability to support estimating and preconstruction planning with accuracy and attention to detail.
Environmental Support
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide technical support to operations
- Coordinate and ensure compliance with air, water, and land use permitting
- Maintain Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), Erosion and Sediment Control Plans (ESCP), and Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure Plans (SPCC)
- Conduct field sampling, inspections, audits, and prepare associated reports
- Assist in waste management programs and sustainability initiatives
- Assist in the preparation of accurate project estimates using HCSS estimating software
- Perform quantity takeoffs and support value engineering processes.
- Attend pre-bid and project meetings, review specifications, and collaborate with the project team
- Review project costs with accounting and support change order tracking

- Degree in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational and time management skills
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- HCSS and CAD/GIS experience preferred
- Understanding of environmental regulations and civil construction processes is a plus
