Job Overview
Monarch Medical Transport is a private ambulance service providing safe, reliable interfacility transport, dialysis trips, medical appointments, and emergent transfers for contracted facilities and healthcare partners. We are seeking professional, patient-focused Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to join our growing team.
This role is ideal for EMTs who excel in patient care, professionalism, communication, and safe transport, rather than high-acuity 911 response. Monarch offers a steady call volume, supportive leadership, and opportunities to grow within the company.
Responsibilities
- Provide basic life support (BLS) care in accordance with NJ OEMS guidelines and company protocols.
- Complete interfacility transports, including:
- Hospital discharges
- SNF/rehab facility transfers
- Dialysis appointments
- Routine doctor appointments
- Specialty/emergent transfers as needed
- Perform full patient assessments, obtain vitals, monitor patient condition, and ensure comfort and safety throughout transport.
- Operate and maintain ambulance equipment, including stair chairs, stretchers, oxygen systems, AEDs, and all required BLS equipment.
- Safely drive or assist in navigation of company emergency vehicles following all NJ motor vehicle laws and company policies.
- Assist patients with mobility, including lifting, moving, and transferring using proper techniques.
- Communicate professionally with nurses, facility staff, dispatch, and receiving facilities.
- Complete accurate and timely ePCR documentation through ImageTrend before end of shift.
- Maintain clean vehicles, restock supplies, and ensure readiness for the next call.
- Follow all company policies regarding conduct, uniform standards, radio communication, and patient confidentiality (HIPAA).
Requirements
- NREMT, NJ EMT OR NY EMT is approved
- Valid BLS Provider certification (required).
- Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift, move, and transfer patients safely (up to 125 lbs with assistance).
- Strong communication skills and professional behavior at all times.
- Ability to work independently, follow protocols, and operate in a structured team environment.
- Must be able to work assigned shifts, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Familiarity with interfacility transport, patient movement, and basic ambulance operations preferred (not required).
Preferred (Not Required)
- Prior experience in private EMS, MAV/BLS transport, SNF transports, or interfacility operations.
- Knowledge of ImageTrend or other ePCR systems.
- CEVO/EVOC certification.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
