Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient preparation to ensure timely service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage
- Ensure all food safety protocols are followed, including proper knife skills and sanitation procedures
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during service hours
- Assist with catering events and special meal preparations as needed
- Serve dishes with attention to quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction
- Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of supply needs
Experience
- Previous experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is advantageous
- Proven track record in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant experience
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and kitchen equipment operation
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food service in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with culinary techniques such as knife skills, fine dining presentation, and catering is preferred
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
