About Monarch Health Services:
Monarch Health Services is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving health outcomes
through preventive care, education, and outreach particularly in underserved communities
across Palm Beach County.
Position Summary:
This role supports our Check Your Health Campaign by conducting health screenings,
promoting wellness education, and assisting with outreach events. Volunteers, interns, and per
diem staff will play a vital role in delivering preventive services for metabolic syndrome, nutrition,
and STDs.
Key Responsibilities:
Not all participants will be expected to perform every responsibility listed. Tasks will be assigned
based on training, qualifications, and interest.
● Conduct basic health screenings (blood pressure, BMI, glucose, temperature, etc.)
● Support metabolic and nutrition checks and wellness screenings
● Perform rapid HIV and Hepatitis C testing (if certified/trained)
● Provide education and distribute resources on metabolic syndrome and STD prevention
● Assist with setup and breakdown of events and health booths
● Register clients and manage intake processes
● Engage residents and support public participation at community events
● Distribute flyers, giveaways, and educational materials
● Assist with data collection, surveys, and follow-up coordination

Requirements:
● Strong communication skills and reliability
● Comfort working in community and outdoor settings
● Ability to stand and lift light equipment
● Orientation or training session required prior to participation
● For clinical roles: relevant certifications or student status in healthcare-related programs
