Full-time, Part-time and Per diem available, must have active CNA and/or HHA certification.

The Limited Lay Administration of Medication (LLAM) Personnel “Med Tech” will report to the Wellness Director. This position is a non-exempt, hourly position.

Job Overview

Responsible for providing quality care and services to all residents and their families.  Provides assistance of medication administration for residents according to their care plan and physician’s orders.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Administer and/or assist with self-administration of prescribed medication to residents and maintain related medical records under the delegation of the Administrator including supervision of the RN/LPN.
• Completes required annual medication training, per state requirements.
• Completes company required medication training modules.
• Provide resident care to ensure care needs are met according to the resident’s care plan.
• Maintain medical records and written documentation assuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with federal and state regulations, certification standards, legal and ethical standards.
• Maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity in the delivery of services to residents
• Participates in and attends all in-service training as scheduled.
• Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as community policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned, including care tasks/assignments as needed and delegated.

Qualifications

Qualifications

· Must successfully complete the Board of Nursing's LLAM core curriculum and any applicable program-specific modules.

• Maintain current CPR/First Aid certification.
• Minimum of six (6) months experience working with seniors in Assisted Living, Home Health, Hospital, or Long-Term Care environment
• Able to work weekends

Physical Abilities

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
• An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs. Intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents. The associate must use proper body mechanics.
