The Executive Director is an exempt, salaried position.Job OverviewOversees the overall management and the day-to-day operations of the community. Leads all aspects of the community operations, revenue generation, staff development, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and safety. Creates a culture that focuses on the residents, families, and associates.Responsibilities and DutiesDevelop and execute business strategy to excel operational and financial targetsManager state, federal, and company regulatory complianceDemonstrate effective communication, lead by example, ensure outstanding attention to detail in the care and wellbeing of all residents.Ensure positive engagement of residents, associates, and family members by maintaining a positive, open-door culture.Demonstrate effective communication, lead by example, ensure outstanding attention to detail.Set standards for quality assurance and ensure compliance with state regulations and company policies.Have direct responsibility for the financial management of the communityPerform human resources functions: recruitment, associate development, disciplinary action, etc.Lead the Sales and Marketing process in order to meet or exceed occupancy and revenue targets.Occasional weekend coverage as Manager on DutyQualifications College degree and administrator’s license/certification per state requirements (CALA)Prior leadership experience within the health care industry preferredDemonstrated success in managing operating expensesPrevious sales or business development experience preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to lead a teamProficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applicationsPhysical AbilitiesWhile performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs. Intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents.
