Job Description:Reflections Program CoordinatorWe are seeking a Full Time Reflections Program Coordinator (memory care) who will be responsible for planning and facilitating programs to meet the needs, interests, and capabilities of the residents within our Reflections Neighborhood. This position reports to the Life Enrichment Director.Schedule: Full TimeResponsibilities and Duties:- Plans and implements programs that meet the needs and interests of the residents.
- Facilitates a diverse program calendar of events that targets various functioning levels.
- Plans outings/programs using company vehicle.
- Assists with resident move-in process by providing support with family and assists with completion of resident background/history.
- Assumes responsibility for set-up and clean-up of daily programs scheduled.
- Creates a monthly calendar of events and newsletter.
- Experience in a recreation/activity position with memory care preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applications.
What you will need to be successful!- Certified Dementia Practitioner (Preferred).
- Recreational Therapist, Music Therapist, Art Therapist Background, (Preferred).
- Occupational Therapist.
- Memory Care, Education, and/or Social Work experience – 2 years.
- Interest or experience in psychology, sociology, social work, gerontology, and neurocognitive disorders.
- Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of dementia and related disorders and competency in customer service delivery to residents.
- Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing, follow instructions and directions, and interact with residents of varying backgrounds. and abilities, remain cheerful and calm under stressful situations and work as a team member.
- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Must have a safe driving record. A copy of the Division of Motor Vehicle Driving Record must be given to the Executive Director upon hire.
