Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Assist residents or patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition
- Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and compliance
- Support meal preparation and feeding for individuals with special dietary needs or disabilities
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation tasks
- Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges
- Document patient observations, care provided, and any incidents clearly and promptly in accordance with facility protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and follow personalized care plans tailored to each individual's needs
- Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being and social engagement
- Follow all safety procedures including CPR and first aid protocols to respond effectively during emergencies
Requirements
- Proven experience in caregiving roles within assisted living, nursing homes, hospice care, or home & community care environments
- Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques, medication administration, and vital signs measurement
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia (including Alzheimer’s), or memory care needs is preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and assist with resident transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with healthcare professionals, residents, families, and team members
- Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful, person-centered care
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
