We are hiring for a Packer in our Portsmouth, OH, location. As a Packer, you would pack product in double liner bags in cases with specific counts, labels boxes, stamps lot numbers and stack in pallets. Product is packed in combos with liner, stamped with lot number and placed on a pallet.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- CCP checks and record keeping of each cook.
- Inspect products while packaging
- Labeling of product
- Stamping of lot number and record keeping.
- Responsible for the execution of the Waste Management Procedure.
- Follow the Food Defense Procedure.
- Follow the GMP’s in production areas.
- Follow instructions from supervisor and general guidelines

Requirements
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Ability to work in fast paced environment that involves repetitive motion
- Good communication capabilities
- Follow written and oral instructions
- Good vision capabilities to perform inspection of equipment
- Knowledge of safety procedures
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This position requires the use of special safety precautions and/or equipment, e.g., working around operating machines, working with hazardous chemicals and materials, etc.
- While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking over slippery surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as samples and record boxes. This position requires frequent pulling, carrying, and lifting up to 70lbs.
