Parts Associate (with E-Commerce Oversight)

The Parts Associate is responsible for managing parts inventory, ensuring parts or supplies needed are available, and anticipating the needs of the staff. This role also oversees e-commerce operations related to marine engine parts and accessories, including online inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and customer experience on digital sales channels. The Parts Associate handles invoices, maintains positive vendor relationships, assists customers with their immediate needs, and supports the growth of both in-store and online parts sales. This person will be responsible for the marine engine parts and associated vendors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide support to Service Manager, Service Team, and walk-in retail customers
• Order, return, receive, and dispatch parts to the appropriate department
• Monitor and track purchasing trends (including online demand)
• Encourage sales and act as liaison with customers where appropriate (in-store and online)
• Assign parts and purchases to the appropriate vessels/repair orders
• Continuously meets ongoing company goals
• Available to work overtime when required
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Retail
• Create and manage Vendor Purchase Orders
• Confirm all orders are received and Vendor invoices correct
• Create and provide weekly sales reports to the Director of Retail (covering both retail and e-commerce performance)
• Oversee e-commerce operations for parts and accessories, including maintaining accurate online inventory, processing and fulfilling web orders, monitoring digital sales performance, and ensuring a positive online customer experience
• Coordinate with marketing and operations teams on e-commerce listings, promotions, and product data accuracy for marine engine parts

Safety and Environmental Responsibilities

• Wear proper personal protective equipment as required for the task or work area.
• Report all accidents, injuries, spills, and near misses immediately.
• Keeps work area clean and tidy
• Technical and Physical Requirements**
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior marina and/or boating experience preferred
• Previous outboard/inboard marine engine parts experience preferred
• Ability to use a computer to access parts catalogs, point-of-sale system, and e-commerce platforms/tools
• Basic knowledge of marine systems preferred
• ABYC and/or engine manufacturer certification a plus
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Yamaha Outboard knowledge
• Experience with online sales platforms, inventory management systems, or e-commerce order fulfillment is a plus

Compensation

• Hourly rate will be determined based on experience.
