MONAD is seeking a remote Email Marketing Specialist to manage communications with our growing community of artists and art enthusiasts.
This person will build email campaigns, create automated communication workflows, and maintain organized audience lists. The role requires someone who can think through the full communication journey, from an artist submitting work to receiving exhibition updates and post-event information.
Responsibilities include:
- Build and schedule email campaigns for exhibitions, open calls, events, and editorial releases
- Create automated email sequences based on audience actions and participation stages
- Manage contact lists while maintaining accurate subscriber information
- Segment audiences based on location, interests, engagement, and exhibition history
- Coordinate artist communications, including acceptance emails, production reminders, submission deadlines, and event updates
- Monitor deliverability, open rates, click rates, and conversions
- Test subject lines, messaging, send times, and audience segments
- Maintain a clear email calendar across MONAD’s exhibitions and programming
- Identify opportunities to improve engagement and reduce repetitive customer service inquiries
- Collaborate with the marketing and design teams to ensure each campaign reflects MONAD’s voice and visual identity
- Hands-on experience with email marketing platforms such as Brevo, Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or a similar platform
- Experience creating email automations and multi-step communication workflows
- Strong understanding of list management, segmentation, and contact organization
- Ability to interpret campaign data and recommend practical improvements
- Clear writing skills with the ability to communicate professionally with artists
- Strong attention to detail, especially when managing multiple campaigns and deadlines
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Experience with Airtable, Make, Zapier, Stripe, or similar tools is preferred
- Interest in photography, contemporary art, or creative communities is a plus
