What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Lab Technician position at Monaco Dentistry?
The Dental CAD/CAM Designer is responsible for designing CAD framework, full contour crowns, bridges, implant abutments, veneers, diagnostic wax ups and implants, using 3shape software CAD/CAM and milling technology.
Essential Job Functions
- Design dental restorations according to client specifications by utilizing 3Shape Design software.
- Design 3D models to be 3D printed.
- Read and interpret doctor’s prescription forms to design porcelain restorations.
- Perform data entry functions for digital files.
- Upload files for fabrication.
- Operate CAD/CAM equipment such as milling machines and 3D printers.
- Set up cases in dental software.
- Communicate case planning throughout the lab.
- Assist with milling.
- All other duties as assigned.
Preferred Talents
- Experienced user of 3Shape software.
- Proficient in dental anatomy/terminology/morphology.
- Strong computer skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to problem solve and meet deadlines independently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience as a dental laboratory CAD/CAM designer or relevant experience.
- Implant experience, preferred.
- CDT degree, preferred.
