Job Summary
Responsible for providing clinical support for the nursing unit, the Unit Clerk will assist the staff with the day-to-day unit work by performing administrative duties for the unit.
Responsibilities
Organization
Able to accurately file all necessary medical documentation in a timely manner.
Chart Maintenance
Maintains physical charts and records including building and tearing down charts for admission and discharge of patients.
Acts as Receptionist
Manages telephone calls courteously and efficiently.
Supports Department
Assists unit leadership in maintaining environmental standards as set forth by the organization.
Data Collection
Assists in data collection for unit audits
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Light Work: Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 lbs. with a maximum lifting of 25 lbs.
Familiarity with medical terminology preferred. Experience with acute care settings and workflows a plus.
Education
• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Credentials
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
