Job Summary
In consultation and collaboration with Human Resources, Infection Prevention, and Safety, coordinates and administers employee Occupational Health Programs for Mon Health System. Responsible for pre-employment health requirements and annual screening in regards to overall employee health, safety and wellness. Employee Health serves in the administration of Worker’s Compensation, infection control maintenance, and compliance with OSHA, TJC, CDC and state health department regulations. Provides education oversight and guidance to staff regarding Occupation Health requirements and wellness practices. Provides input as to competence and compliance with Occupational Health Standards.
Responsibilities
Advocate for Employee Occupational Health Programs
Promotes programs and projects, both within and outside the organization, in a manner that increases understanding and support for these initiatives. Provides education and support to leaders and employees with respect to employee health concepts, methods, procedures, and techniques. Communicates with others in a way that raises visibility for, and interest in, products or projects.
Managing Multiple Priorities & Versatility
Handles multiple assignments and priorities and fulfills all commitments. Readily accepts new responsibilities and adapts well to changes in procedures. Gives appropriate priorities to various work demands. Is able to take on a variety of different tasks within the health system. Can move in a relatively seamless manner from one task or focus to another and can fill in for other team members when needed. Responsible for the oversight and preparation of records, reports, exposure logs, policies, manuals and other documentation.

Takes a proactive approach to anticipating and preventing problems. When problems occur, defines those problems, investigates obstacles, gathers relevant information, decides whether solving the problem should be a group decision, generates and analyzes alternate solutions and arrives at a workable solution. Keeps Human Resources and Quality informed of progress and obstacles related to ongoing tasks or projects. Demonstrates knowledge and skill necessary to provide appropriate care based on employee’s accident or exposure. Uses written or verbal status reports to ensure that Director is up-to-date and will not be surprised by the status of key activities, actual expenses or end results.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Light Work: Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 lbs. with a maximum lifting of 25 lbs.
3-5 years’ experience in nursing, preferably working in an occupational health and wellness setting.
