Hema/Onc Physician Salary -- CAMC Cancer Center Oncology -- Cancer Center Building

Job Summary

Provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to the patients of the Charleston Area Medical Center, Inc and its affiliates per the terms of the contract.

Responsibilities

• To provide care to CAMC patients in the field of Hematology and Oncology in compliance with the highest standards of medical art and science, and within the ethical standards of conduct. Such care shall be delivered in the appropriate setting and coordinated with the staff present at each site. The physician will take the lead in all patient care issues and will be ultimately responsible for the outcome of the encounter.

• Comply with all Policies as outlined by CAMC Human Resources and Office of Corporate Compliance

• Maintain accurate and timely records of patient care which meet all necessary documentation, correspondence and coding requirements.

• Employee will maintain active status (category I) with regards to clinical privileges at CAMC

• Must be able to relate appropriately with patients, staff, corporate management, medical staff and co-workers. Must remain current in medical/surgical knowledge as well as applicable legal and regulatory issues.

The employee must possess/obtain (by the end of the orientation period) and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment or care as defined by the department’s identified patient ages. Specifically the employee must be able to demonstrate competency in: 1) ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs; 2) knowledge of growth and development; and 3) understanding of the range of treatment needed by the patients.

Education

• Medical Degree (Required) Education: MD or DO (or an international medical graduate degree equivalent qualifying for entry to a US Graduate Medical Education program and ABMS/AOA Certification eligibility). Board Certified Board Eligible American Board of Internal Medicine Board Certified Board Eligible American Board of Hematology and Oncology
