Job Summary
Reports to the Director of Facilities Management and directs work activities of the facilities management department.
Responsibilities
People and Culture Confer with staff in order to resolve performance and personnel problems, and to discuss company policies. Evaluate employee performance, and recommend personnel actions such as promotions, transfers and dismissals. Advise managers, department heads and personnel requesting work orders of status and completion. Complete Facilities work schedule. Maintain Worxhub or equivalent work order system for Facilities. Input and maintain Preventative Maintenance work orders. Intregration and Efficiency Inspect and evaluate the physician condition of the facility to determine the type of work required. Maintain required records of work hours. Perform or assist with maintenance duties as necessary. Recommend changes that could improve service and increase operational efficiency. Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure that services are provided in an efficient and timely manner. Establish and implement operational standards and procedures for the department. Assist with payroll, record departmental minutes, filing and other general office tasks. Inspect work performed to ensure that it meets specifications and established standards. Complete continuing education in health code compliance including CMS Ktags, NFPA 99, NFPA 101, NFPA 110, FGI Guidelines for Hospitals, IBC, IMC, IPC and NEC Code. Financial Vitality Inventory stock to ensure that supplies and equipment are available in adequate amounts. Forecast necessary levels of staffing and stock at different times, in order to facilitate effective scheduling and ordering. Quality and Safety Investigate complaints about maintenance service and equipment and take corrective action. Schedule and assign work orders to maintain equipment to help avoid unanticipated breakdowns. Growth and Development Instruct staff in work policies and procedures and the use and maintenance of equipment. Assist in the screening and onboarding of new employees.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Heavy Work: Frequent Lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs. with a maximum lifting of 100 lbs. Three (3) years of Facilities experience required. One (1) year of previous management experience preferred. Computer skills: working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet and related programs and working knowledge of computer-based time and attendance software.
