Job Summary
Reports to Radiology Director
Works closely with Radiology staff, patients, medical staff, and families as well as other depts.
Responsibilities
- Operates Radiology equipment
- Able to use PACS
- Able to use hospital information system
- Demonstrates proper patient prep for procedures
- Explains procedure to patient
- Provides patient history and reason for exam
- Maintains CPR certification
- Responsible for patient safety
- Adheres to Joint Commission Safety Goals
- Operates power injector
- Follows Cat Scan protocols
- Knows and explains preps to patient for Cat Scan
- Operates CT equipment correctly
- Shows knowledge of pre and post contrast protocols
- Provides history of patient for Radiologist for CT
- Reviews questions or issues with radiologist when needed
- Responsible for having patient sign consent when contrast is needed
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of current trends and technology in Radiology and CATSCAN
Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently and/or in excess of 20 lbs. of force constantly.
Education
- Post High School Diploma or Certificate Program (Required)
Credentials
- Amer Registry of Rad Techs (Required)
- Radiologic Technologist, Licen (Required)
Work Schedule: Nights
Status: 72 hrs per pay
