Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work closely with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities, providing support and implementing behavior management strategies as outlined in their care plans. This role is integral in promoting positive behavioral changes and enhancing the quality of life for our clients through effective behavioral therapy techniques.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Assist clients in developing social, communication, and daily living skills.
- Collect and record data on client progress during therapy sessions to inform treatment adjustments.
- Educate clients and their families about behavioral management techniques and strategies.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients during sessions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including special education professionals and healthcare providers, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively when discussing client needs and progress with team members.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in behavioral health and therapy.
Requirements
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and behavioral therapy practices.
- Familiarity with research data collection methods related to behavioral health interventions.
- Strong communication skills to effectively educate clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining a client-centered focus.
- A background in special education or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory.
