Position Purpose

·         To perform all tasks associated with the shipment of products and materials to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.  

·         Responsible for preparing and processing orders for shipment, maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating with carriers for pickups and deliveries, packaging items securely, and ensuring all shipment documentation is accurate and complete.  

·         The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions and Key Activities

·         Accurately and efficiently ship packages using UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager and WWEX Speedship and customer booking portals

·         Process and palletize LTL freight shipments 

·         Ship orders by the promised ship date and according to instructions on shipping forms

·         Process all paperwork including export documents, bill of lading, and manifest reports from the shipping systems

•    Ability to safely lift and move freight weighing up to 50 lbs.

·         Process and store paperwork from shipping processes in an organized manner

·         Prioritize tasks to ensure shipment of orders on time

·         Maintain open and professional email communication with customer service representatives and third-party logistics firms

·         Assist will call customers and freight carriers by loading freight via tow truck

·         Assist in the maintenance and housekeeping of the warehouse

·         Observe and obey all warehouse and company safety practices

·         Participate in quality improvement team initiatives

·         Schedule is Monday – Friday 8:30am-5:30pm

Qualifications

·         High School diploma or equivalent required

·         Minimum of 1 year shipping experience required

·         Minimum of 1 year forklift experience required

·         Live in Greensboro, NC or surrounding areas
