Queens, NY | Full-Time / Campaign Position
A political campaign for a progressive Queens Democrat is looking for a Social Media Producer to help tell our story, energize voters, and build a people-powered digital presence across Queens and beyond. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who’s excited about politics, organizing, and social media and wants hands-on experience on a competitive, values-driven campaign.
What You’ll Do:
- Shoot and edit short-form videos for Instagram, TikTok, Reels, and X
- Shoot photos for social media platforms, website, and email newsletters
- Capture campaign moments in real time (canvasses, rallies, press events, and community meetings, etc)
- Edit vertical video quickly for social platforms (training and guidance provided)
- Work with the communications team to turn issues and events into engaging, shareable content
- Help shape the campaign’s digital voice and visual style
Who You Are:
- Experienced shooting video-and-photos on a phone or camera
- Familiar with basic video editing tools (CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar)
- Active on social media and understands what performs well
- Organized, reliable, and excited to learn fast
- Passionate about progressive politics, community power, and public service
This Role Is Especially Great If You Are:
- A recent graduate or early-career creative
- Looking to break into political campaigns or communications
- A strong storyteller who wants real responsibility and mentorship
- Spanish language proficient
- Graphic or motion design skills
- Prior volunteer or campaign experience
