Status: Full-time, Exempt

Hours: 8am-5pm, Mon-Fri

Summary

The purpose of this position is to create meaningful employee experiences that strengthens company culture, supports employee engagement, and demonstrates genuine care for employees and their families. This role plans and coordinates employee events, recognition programs, and culture initiatives that align with Steel Tech's Mission, Core Values, and Permission to Play.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate employee appreciation initiatives throughout the year. 
• Organize company events, including Christmas parties, family movie nights, employee appreciation events, and other company gatherings. 
• Coordinate employee care programs, including the Read to Me program, baby gifts, sympathy gifts, and other employee life event recognition. 
• Welcome new employees and help them feel connected to the company culture. 
• Coordinate employee announcements, celebrations, and recognition activities. 
• Promote Steel Tech's Core Values and Permission to Play through employee engagement initiatives. 
• Coordinate vendors, facilities, event logistics, and schedules. 
• Manage event budgets and supplies responsibly. 
• Ensure employee programs are executed with excellence, consistency, and attention to detail.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Exceptional organizational and event planning skills. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines. 
• High attention to detail and strong follow-through. 
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with leadership and team members. 
• Creative mindset with a passion for serving others and creating memorable employee experiences.

Experience

• Two or more years of experience in employee engagement, event planning, human resources, hospitality, communications, or a related field. 
• Experience coordinating events, employee programs, or customer service initiatives.
