Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

Momentum Physical Therapy is an outpatient orthopedic clinic. We are dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fun and supportive environment. The clinic aims to help patients achieve their maximum potential and regain the momentum of their lives. The team is committed to clinical excellence, integrity, compassion, and continuous improvement. We are looking to hire a PTA to work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT). They will implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients with orthopedic conditions, from pediatric to geriatric. This role includes providing direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and functional training. It also involves educating patients and their families on post-treatment care and prevention strategies.

Responsibilities

• Implement selected components of the physical therapy plan of care.
• Instruct and counsel patients in exercises and activities.
• Observe patients, noting their status and reporting it to the supervising physical therapist.
• Treat patients using techniques, including stretching exercises and massage.
• Utilize devices and equipment, such as walkers, to assist patients.
• Document patient care services accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the physical therapist to modify treatment to ensure patient progress, safety, and comfort.
• Provide patient education and support regarding wellness programs.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current Wyoming state license or eligible for licensure in Wyoming.
• Exercise and manual-based skills with sports rehabilitation experience are preferred.
• Excellent patient care and communication skills with the ability to multitask.
• A passion for physical therapy and patient care.
• Energetic and enthusiastic personality; ability to have fun while working.
