About Momentum Park

Momentum Park is a mission driven, technology enabled nonprofit startup where moms come first and every moment matters. We develop innovative, community centered solutions that improve maternal and infant health outcomes, strengthen families, and transform how perinatal support is delivered. Our work combines public health, technology, entrepreneurship, community leadership, and human connection.

SHERO, Shaping Healthy Equitable Reproductive Outcomes, is Momentum Park’s flagship initiative. SHERO delivers a tech enabled, human led model of comprehensive perinatal support through six interconnected circles of support. The New Orleans market is Momentum Park’s largest and most strategically important site, with significant potential for continued growth, sustainability, and national replication.

Position Overview

The Regional Director, SHERO New Orleans, is the highest ranking Momentum Park leader based in the New Orleans region. This is a senior startup leadership role for an exceptional operator, innovator, and people leader who can translate the Founder’s vision into disciplined execution, sustainable systems, measurable impact, and long term growth.

This is not a traditional program director role. The Regional Director will function as the operational co-pilot to the Founder and CEO for SHERO New Orleans, while respecting that the Founder remains the creator, principal visionary, public voice, and steward of the Momentum Park and SHERO brands. The successful candidate will bring expertise, sound judgment, initiative, and the ability to lead without requiring constant direction or instruction.

The ideal candidate is a builder. They are energized by ambiguity, able to establish structure where it does not yet exist, comfortable testing and improving new ideas, and capable of moving quickly without sacrificing quality, accountability, or community trust. They should be prepared to teach, challenge, advise, execute, and learn alongside the Founder while creating an organization that can thrive beyond any one grant or individual leader.

Why This Role Exists

· Build a strong, sustainable, and scalable SHERO New Orleans operation that can grow beyond its current federal funding.

· Ensure that the Six Circles of SHERO Support operate as one coordinated experience for mothers, families, staff, partners, and funders.

· Create the systems, culture, accountability, and local leadership needed for New Orleans operations to function effectively without daily founder intervention.

· Convert relationships, community credibility, data, innovation, and demonstrated impact into continued funding, partnerships, and expansion opportunities.

· Develop a high performing local team that consistently delivers on commitments and reflects Momentum Park’s values.

Core ResponsibilitiesStrategic and Startup Leadership

· Partner closely with the Founder and CEO to translate organizational vision into clear priorities, operating plans, timelines, and measurable outcomes.

· Lead SHERO New Orleans with the mindset of an entrepreneur, using lean startup principles to test, learn, improve, and scale.

· Identify risks, opportunities, inefficiencies, and unmet needs before they become urgent problems.

· Bring forward thoughtful recommendations, not simply questions, and make sound decisions within delegated authority.

· Help define and execute a sustainability strategy that includes grants, public and private partnerships, earned revenue opportunities, philanthropy, sponsorships, and other mission aligned funding pathways.

· Protect Momentum Park’s intellectual property, brand identity, relationships, data, content, systems, and organizational reputation.

Leadership of the Six Circles of SHERO Support

· Provide integrated leadership across all Six Circles of SHERO Support, ensuring they function as a coordinated model rather than separate activities.

· Maintain a consistent, high quality SHERO experience across virtual education, peer support, one on one support, workforce development, digital tools, and community based engagement.

· Ensure the model remains responsive to the lived experiences, preferences, and needs of mothers and families.

· Use participant feedback and performance data to strengthen services, increase engagement, and improve outcomes.

Operations and Execution

· Own day to day execution of SHERO New Orleans operations, including staffing, schedules, events, workflows, technology, logistics, supplies, communications, and partner coordination.

· Create and maintain practical operating systems, standard procedures, dashboards, calendars, templates, and documentation.

· Use ClickUp and other approved tools to manage priorities, deadlines, assignments, dependencies, and accountability.

· Ensure commitments are completed accurately and on time, with clear follow through and minimal need for escalation.

· Coordinate evening and weekend programming directly or through well planned team coverage.

· Maintain readiness for funder meetings, site visits, audits, public events, community activations, and rapid changes in priorities.

People Leadership and Culture

· Supervise, coach, and hold accountable SHERO New Orleans employees, including Perinatal Health Workers, contractors, interns, and future team members.

· Recruit and onboard strong local talent as the initiative grows.

· Clarify roles, expectations, decision rights, and performance standards for every team member.

· Create a culture of ownership, preparation, reliability, respect, learning, and direct communication.

· Address performance concerns promptly and fairly, in coordination with the Founder and human resources or fiscal agent partners.

· Develop staff so that leadership capacity grows throughout the organization rather than remaining concentrated in one person.

Community and Partnership Leadership

· Serve as the senior operational representative of SHERO New Orleans in meetings with hospitals, universities, health systems, community based organizations, government agencies, funders, and other partners.

· Strengthen existing Momentum Park relationships and cultivate new relationships that advance mission, reach, sustainability, and impact.

· Enter New Orleans communities with humility, cultural respect, consistency, and a commitment to earning trust.

· Coordinate partnership agreements, shared activities, referrals, events, and follow up so that relationships produce meaningful results.

· Support the Founder as the primary public voice and face of Momentum Park and SHERO while serving as a credible, empowered local leader.

Grant, Performance, and Financial Stewardship

· Ensure grant funded activities are implemented in accordance with approved work plans, timelines, budgets, policies, and reporting requirements.

· Monitor deliverables, participant engagement, performance measures, documentation, and corrective actions.

· Work closely with the Founder, project management support, evaluators, and fiscal partners to prepare accurate reports and maintain compliance.

· Exercise responsible stewardship of organizational resources and delegated spending authority.

· Identify budget risks, cost savings, and strategic investments that improve delivery and sustainability.

· Contribute substantively to grant applications, continuation requests, proposals, presentations, and funder communications.

Technology, Data, and Innovation

· Use technology confidently and independently, including Zoom, ClickUp, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Typeform, Canva, GroupMe, artificial intelligence tools, and other digital platforms adopted by Momentum Park.

· Learn new systems quickly and help the team use them effectively.

· Use data to guide decisions, assess performance, identify gaps, and tell a compelling impact story.

· Advance responsible uses of automation and artificial intelligence that improve efficiency and participant experience without compromising privacy, dignity, or trust.

· Help develop scalable systems that can be replicated in future SHERO markets.

Communication and Founder Partnership

· Maintain regular, concise, decision oriented communication with the Founder and CEO.

· Keep the Founder informed of material developments, risks, decisions, and opportunities without transferring routine management back to the Founder.

· Prepare thoroughly for meetings and provide clear summaries, recommendations, assignments, and next steps.

· Represent organizational positions accurately and avoid making commitments outside delegated authority.

· Demonstrate discretion with confidential information, personnel matters, intellectual property, and sensitive community or funder relationships.

Decision Making Authority

The Regional Director will receive meaningful authority to lead the New Orleans market. Within approved policies, budgets, grant requirements, and strategic direction, the Director will be expected to:

· Make day to day operational decisions and resolve routine problems without waiting for founder approval.

· Assign work, establish deadlines, manage schedules, and evaluate staff performance.

· Recommend hiring, discipline, role changes, and separation decisions.

· Represent SHERO New Orleans in approved partner and community meetings.

· Authorize routine expenses within delegated limits and approved budgets.

· Escalate decisions that materially affect organizational strategy, legal exposure, grant compliance, brand ownership, executive relationships, public statements, or significant financial commitments.

Required Qualifications

· At least five years of progressively responsible experience in operations, healthcare, public health, maternal and child health, community development, nonprofit or startup leadership, consulting, program implementation, or a related field.
