Responsibilities
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other modalities tailored to individual client needs
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans based on physiology knowledge and patient history
- Educate clients on pain management strategies, occupational health practices, and self-care techniques to enhance their wellness journey
- Maintain detailed treatment records, including client progress notes and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards and privacy regulations
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when necessary to support comprehensive patient care and recovery
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to all health and safety protocols, including CPR certification requirements
- Provide excellent patient service by creating a welcoming atmosphere that fosters trust and comfort throughout each session
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with liability insurance
- Proven experience in massage therapy, particularly with deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and medical massage techniques
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pain management principles to effectively assess and treat diverse conditions
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to therapeutic massage and occupational health practices
- Ability to create SOAP notes as needed
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with clients of all backgrounds
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings or weekends as needed to accommodate client schedules
