What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder 2nd Shift- Up to $2000 SIGN ON BONUS position at Momentum Manufacturing Group LLC?
Job Summary: Responsible for fitting and welding of steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel parts using MIG and/or TIG process. The work is repetitive in nature and requires a strong sense of details. Responsibility to perform other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by your supervisor may be required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up welding machines based on the job at hand.
- Read & interpret blueprints and or drawings to determine the specific welding required
- MIG or TIG weld Steel, Aluminum or stainless steel
- Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards
- Must wear PPE to include but not limited to welding helmet and welding gloves
- Must be able to use precision measuring tool to inspect grooves and angles
- Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment.
- Follow company rules and policies
- Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task
- Follow safety rules and quality standards
- Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
- Must have the ability to communicate in a clear and professional manner
- Must show up at work on time and as scheduled.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education & experience required
- Two years of experience with MIG or TIG welding required
- Experience with steel, aluminum and/or stainless steel preferred
- Current & valid certification a plus
- Ability to read blue prints
- Basic math skills
Physical & Environmental Conditions:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to stand, sit, bend and kneel without difficulty
- Ability to lift/pull/push 50lbs
- Exposure to loud noises
- Exposure to heat and fumes
- Working in the presence of fork trucks and other manufacturing machinery
