Momentum Behavior Services is seeking a skilled and experienced Human Resources Manager to support our expanding organization. This hybrid role is based in Oak Park, IL, with periodic on-site presence required for team meetings, collaboration, and other business needs. Position Summary:
The HR Manager will serve as a key partner to leadership and staff across the organization, assisting with core HR functions including employee relations, HRIS optimization, compensation structures, onboarding/offboarding, compliance, performance management, culture initiatives, and benefits administration. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable balancing both strategic projects and day-to-day HR operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers on ER matters
- Lead engagement initiatives, pulse surveys, and follow-through action plans
- Support coaching, conflict resolution, and manager development
HR Operations & Systems
- Manage and optimize HRIS workflows (Rippling or similar)
- Maintain accurate employee records, pay bands, title leveling, and job scope documentation
- Own onboarding/offboarding processes, including background checks, I-9s, and W-2 support
- Oversee payroll processing in partnership with Finance
Culture, Training & Internal Communications
- Support culture initiatives including recognition programs and internal communication
- Build and maintain policies, SOPs, and employee handbook updates
- Coordinate training programs for managers and staff
- Implement onboarding surveys, early-tenure feedback loops, and scheduled follow-ups to surface issues early and strengthen retention in the first 90 days.
Compensation, Benefits & Incentives
- Administer benefits (medical, dental, vision, ancillary) and partner with the benefits broker
- Oversee FMLA, LOA, ADA accommodations process
- Support design and administration of incentive programs, bonus plans, and potential profit-sharing models
Recruiting Partnership
- Partner with TalentCare (ATS/Recruiting vendor) on hiring needs
- Prepare offer letters, ensure candidate experience alignment, and manage job postings
- Build and maintain a steady pipeline of potential talent for current and future roles.
Compliance & Vendor Management
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment regulations
- Manage HR-related vendors, including payroll, benefits broker, and ATS provider
Performance & Analytics
- Coordinate annual performance evaluations and calibration
- Develop workforce analytics dashboards and HR metrics reporting
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of progressive HR experience (healthcare or ABA preferred)
- Strong knowledge of federal/state employment laws
- Experience with HRIS platforms (preferably Rippling) and workflow automation
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and coaching skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with a high sense of urgency
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, scaling environment
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
