Business Data Analyst - ETL , Snowflakes, Finance domain , Python , Pyspark

Data Analysis Background, Reporting, Power BI, SQL , Data base, Mongo DB

Location - McLean, VA

5 days onsite only local, in person interview required

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of Finance Domain preferably in Mortgage industry
• Experience in gathering business requirement from Business and stake holders to deploy a Data engineering Platform
• Experience In Tradition ETL platform and Modern Data engineering tool like Snowflake analytics.
• Ability to write clear requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Agile (scrum master) experience/Jira
• ServiceNow reporting and Jira reporting
• Create and Report presentation – PowerBI, Tableau, PowerPoint
• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Basic experience in MongoDB, PySpark , DataFrames, streaming
• Familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management.
• Data analytics experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Understand workflows, critical reports, and data dependencies in assigned domain.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into SLAs, freshness rules, and data quality expectations.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to mortgage origination, underwriting, and securitization.
• Create comprehensive requirement documents, functional specifications, and process flow diagrams.
• Ensure all documentation aligns with industry best practices and regulatory guidelines.
• Develop test plans, test cases, and perform user acceptance testing (UAT) along with business users to validate solutions.
• Define and document data quality rules to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of business data.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements for financial companies and ensure compliance in all business processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including business users, IT teams, and external partners, to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
• Prepare, update, and maintain technical documentation related to business analysis procedures, incident management, and troubleshooting guides.
• Participate in post-implementation reviews and contribute to process improvements for enhanced business reliability.
• Communicate pipeline status and incident resolutions to stakeholders.
• Translate business and technical requirements into Jira backlog with prioritization
