Summer 2026 Logistics Optimization Intern

Responsibilities Include
- WMS & ERP Integration Support:
- Assist in mapping and documenting current workflows between WMS and ERP systems.
- Collaborate with IT and operations teams to identify integration gaps and propose solutions.
- Participate in testing and validation of system enhancements or new integrations.
- Fleet Cost Optimization:
- Analyze transportation and fleet data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Support the development of models to evaluate carrier performance, route efficiency, and fuel usage.
- Assist in implementing initiatives to reduce logistics spend while maintaining service levels.
- Process Development & Implementation:
- Document existing logistics processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Support the design and rollout of standardized operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor pilot implementations and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with supply chain, operations, and finance teams to align logistics strategies with business goals.
- Participate in team meetings and present findings or recommendations to stakeholders.
- Reporting & Analysis:
- Develop dashboards and reports to track key logistics KPIs.
- Provide insights and summaries to support decision-making and strategic planning.
The following are required for the role
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- The candidate must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at the time of application and for at least one semester following the conclusion of the internship.
- The candidate is expected to be available 40 hours a week for a period of 10-12 weeks between the months of May and August.
