This role is pivotal in advancing next-generation coating technologies through a rigorous, iterative product development cycle—from concept to launch.

Base Pay Range: $128,500 - $188,100
The actual salary offered is determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill sets, and geography. Local geographic pay differentials may not be reflected in the above pay range and will be discussed with you by a member of the HR team when applicable. Additionally, this role is eligible for incentive or sales variable compensation payments. The amount of these incentives is based on the terms of the Company's incentive plans, the Company's financial performance, and/or individual employee job performance.

Responsibilities Include
- Develop high-performance additives and resins for industrial and automotive coatings formulators.
- Create technologies using innovative chemistries based on Silicone/Silane or hybrid materials, offering a differentiated value proposition for the coatings market.
- Evaluate target performance properties in intended applications and understand structure-property relationships to optimize products.
- Manage multiple projects effectively, ensuring clear alignment of goals, objectives, and deliverables with business and market needs.
- Collaborate efficiently with a cross-functional team, including Technology, Marketing, Sales, and Manufacturing.
The following are required for the role
- Masters or Ph.D. in chemistry or chemical engineering.
- R&D experience in industrial coatings/automotive coatings chemistries and formulations (minimum 5 years after PhD or 8 years after Masters).
- Team player with good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn relevant skills quickly and constantly improve.
- Have passion, enthusiasm, and positive attitude.
