Summary
This role is responsible for driving growth of the Industrial Silicone Elastomers business across The Americas by combining strategic marketing, business development, and KEY selective account/OEM management. The individual will assess market needs and trends to identify opportunities, establish and execute marketing strategies, and support the commercialization of new technologies (NPIs). A key focus will be on the Transportation sector (including New Energy Vehicles) while expanding into adjacent markets where silicone materials bring strong value propositions.

Base Pay Range: $113,500 - $166,650
The actual salary offered is determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill sets, and geography. Local geographic pay differentials may not be reflected in the above pay range and will be discussed with you by a member of the HR team when applicable. Responsibilities Include
- Grow Industrial Elastomer Sales within targeted Transportation markets, with a strong focus on New Energy Vehicles (NEV) and emerging mobility applications.
- Drive business development by identifying and securing new customers, applications, and technologies, including New Product Introductions (NPIs).
- Provide technical and application support to customers, ensuring successful integration of silicone solutions into their systems and processes.
- Develop a global network by collaborating with commercial teams across the USA, EMEA, and APAC to share best practices, align strategies, and capture cross-regional opportunities.
- Manage product developments from concept through commercialization, coordinating with R&D, ADE, and Product Management teams.
- Partner with Pole Commercial Leader to design and execute the EMEA Annual Growth Programs, ensuring delivery of financial commitments.
- Build a deep understanding of customer needs, including market trends, applications, manufacturing technologies, industry regulations, and value chain dynamics.
- Lead commercial activities such as new product launches, pricing initiatives, customer presentations, bid support, and customer user groups, while leveraging the global Marketing organization.
- Align with Sales, and Technology leaders to develop and communicate differentiated value propositions that maximize growth and profitability for both new and existing products.
- Support the Global Marketing Director in the development and execution of Strategic Business Plans at both global and regional levels.
- Establish and strengthen relationships with industry stakeholders, OEMs, and Tier suppliers to secure long-term partnerships and growth opportunities.
- Conduct Voice of Customer activities to guide product portfolio enhancements, validate sustainable and differentiated opportunities, and shape new development programs.
- Collaborate with R&D and ADE functions to manage product development timelines and ensure smooth transition of new commercial business to the broader sales organization.
The following are required for the role
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Strong understanding of silicone elastomers, polymer chemistry, or advanced materials and their applications in industrial or transportation markets.
- Familiarity with market analysis, commercial strategy, and product lifecycle management.
- 5–10 years of experience in business development, marketing, or technical sales in polymers, elastomers, or related materials industries.
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, new product launches, and market expansion.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with R&D, Product Management, Marketing, and Sales.
- Track record of customer engagement, account management, or hybrid commercial roles with technical products.
- Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills for customer and internal stakeholder interactions.
- Ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and translate technical solutions into business value.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities and projects across global and regional teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel regionally or globally as required.
- Experience with New Product Introductions (NPIs) and driving adoption in complex, technical markets.
- Understanding of industry regulations, standards, and customer requirements in Transportation, Energy, or Industrial segments.
- Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field).
- Experience in silicone elastomers or specialty polymer industries, with exposure to Transportation, New Energy Vehicles, or Industrial applications.
- Proven track record in hybrid roles combining marketing, business development, and sales responsibilities. ( 3 YRS)
