JOB SUMMARY:
The Inventory Associate plays a key role in maintaining accurate inventory and supporting warehouse operations. This position ensures materials are properly received, tracked, stored, and maintained to support production and client deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
Backup Coverage:
The Inventory Control Associate supports the department and warehouse operations as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform daily system updates
- Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and audits
- Receive incoming materials and verify accuracy against documentation
- Organize and store materials in designated warehouse locations
- Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies or shortages
- Ensure materials are handled and stored in compliance with safety guidelines
- Follow and support all OSHA and company safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Dispose of obsolete or recyclable materials appropriately
- Provide backup support for receiving and warehouse operations as needed
- Assist other departments to support overall business needs
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Willingness to work 40 hours per week and weekends when necessary.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–3 years of experience in inventory, receiving, or warehouse environment preferred
- Experience operating forklifts or warehouse equipment preferred
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Familiarity with inventory systems is a plus
- Ability to perform basic math for counts and reconciliation
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical warehouse tasks (standing, bending, lifting, etc.)
- Reliable attendance and flexibility with schedule as needed
