What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server Tea Tender position at Moment of Tea?
Moment of Tea is looking for one primary and one secondary dependable, ready-to-start Tea Tender to help cover shifts and support community programs when the primary Tea Tender is unavailable. The part-time Tea Tender schedule will be closer to Fridays through Sundays, averaging 12–24 hours per week, with the potential to transition into a full-time position if our needs grow.
Tea House Hours
- Wednesday–Sunday: 12 PM–6 PM
- Future opportunities to assist with after-hours programs and events, which would be compensated at a flat rate on an as-needed basis.
Shift Hours
- Opening shift: 11:30 AM-6 PM
- Closing shift: 12 PM–6:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Serve and make tea, and light bites
- Welcome and assist guests in moving through the space and understanding the menu
- Taking orders and payments on POS system
- Opening, closing, and cleanup duties
- Basic inventory checks
What Matters Most
While we would appreciate service and hospitality experience; we value character and positive passion.
Please note that while tea experience and a Certified Food Manager certification are a plus, they are not required. The only requirement to continue with employment is obtaining a valid Texas Food Handler Certificate.
